For the production of Little Shop of Horrors at Concordia University Saint Paul, I was asked to recreate two of the Audrey II puppets. The Puppets that we were renting were not good for this show and were in rough shape. I took the existing two bigger puppets and used them as inspiration for the smaller two.
The smallest one was rigged with springs and wire for the leaves on the pot to wilt when needed to on stage. The medium sized one was fitted with a bike glove that would strap down on the actor's hand (played by Zach Fluegel) so he had firm control over the puppet due to it's weight.
